<![CDATA[Twitter finishes with third-party clients]]> Wed, 23 Mar 2011 00:00:00 +0100

If you have the intention of developing another twitter client you better forsake that idea. Twitter is sending this messaje to developers, saying that no more unofficial clients will be allowed. With this measure Twitter intends to have more control of user experience.

This leads companies such as Ubermedia (which acquired TweetDeck,on February 2011) to a difficult situation.

Beyond the consequences this measure may bring, we should reflect on the convenience of investing money in developing a project which is based on third-party clients platform/application without having control of the final product. This is one of the most important points for investors when deciding whether to support a project or not.

<![CDATA[Email usage decreases while e-commerce escalates]]> Fri, 11 Feb 2011 00:00:00 +0100 According to the last report presented by comScore, about ICT usage in USA during 2010,the email usage has dropped dramatically except among the population aged 55 and over.

A few weeks ago , a similar piece of news appeared in Spain. Telefónica's chairperson alerted to the decrease of about the 20% of text message sendings at Christmas.

Both news are related to the raise of social networks usage which have become a powerful medium of communication.

The report also points out the growth of the e-commerce about a 9%. In our opinion, the tendency is also going to be experienced in the Spanish market.
