Mar 2011 Twitter finishes with third-party clients

If you have the intention of developing another twitter client  you better forsake that idea. Twitter is sending this messaje to developers, saying that no more unofficial clients will be allowed. With this measure Twitter intends to have more control of user experience.

This leads companies such as Ubermedia (which acquired  TweetDeck,on February 2011) to a difficult situation.

Beyond the consequences this measure may bring, we should reflect on the convenience of investing money in developing a project which is based on third-party clients platform/application without having control of the final product. This is one of the most important points for investors when deciding whether to support a project or not.
